
Moira Clark is Professor of Strategic Marketing at Henley Business School and Founder and Director of The Henley Centre for Customer Management. This research centre develops joint research initiatives between Henley and a consortium of organisations who want to further their knowledge and understanding of leading-edge best practice in customer management. Moira is a leading expert in Strategic Customer Management; her main areas of research and consulting are in Customer Management, Customer Centricity, Customer Experience and the drivers of Customer Retention and Service Excellence. She has worked extensively in the area of culture and climate, its impact on retention and loyalty, and the critical linkages between employee behaviour and customer retention. She has researched and published widely on Customer Management, Relationship Marketing, Customer Experience and Service Excellence. Publications include for example, the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Business Research, Psychology and Marketing and International Journal of Management Reviews. She is also co-author of 'Relationship Marketing for Competitive Advantage, Winning and Keeping Customers and Relationship Marketing: Strategy and Implementation'. Her book 'Business Success through Service Excellence' examines the crucial factors needed to achieve and maintain service excellence. Moira is a sought-after commentator on current marketing and Customer Management issues for national press, radio and TV. She also has extensive marketing consultancy experience with leading international companies, sits on a number of advisory boards and is a frequent keynote speaker at many public and in-company seminars and conferences around the world. Moira joined Henley Business School from Cranfield School of Management in 2005. Prior to her academic career, Moira was a successful international marketing consultant based in Munich where she was involved with a wide range of industries including service industries, engineering, consumer and industrial goods manufacturers. She has also worked as a Marketing Director for an international health food manufacturer and as a Marketing Manager for the toiletries subsidiary of Dunhill International. She is a graduate in Business Studies, has an MBA from Cranfield and a PhD from Cranfield.
Femi Odugbemi is an accomplished storyteller and Content Producer whose career has spanned advertising, broadcasting and filmmaking. A member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the United States, Femi is a former President of the Independent Television Producers Association of Nigeria (ITPAN), he co-founded the IREPRESENT International Documentary Film Festival Lagos, and is a 4-time Head of Jury of the prestigious AMVCAs - the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards. He has also served as a 3-time Head Judge of the Uganda Film Festival (2012-2014), Juror of the British Council “Shakespeare lives’ project (2016), Juror of the Emmy Awards in New York (2012 & 2016) and many others. Femi’s screen credits include Nigeria’s longest running daily soap TINSEL (over 2500 episodes and counting), the critically-acclaimed drama series BATTLEGROUND (460 episodes), and his most recent work BRETHREN (260 episodes), all screened across the continent on the DSTV channels. He has also produced and directed feature films including MAROKO (2006), GIDI BLUES (2016). Femi has in addition written and produced many critically acclaimed documentaries and issue-based films. In November 2013, he received the Excellence Award of the Society of the Performing Arts of Nigeria (SPAN) and received the prestigious lifetime achievement award from the Nigeria Film Corporation in 2018. He is Founder/CEO of Zuri24 Media Lagos and the Academy Director of the Multichoice Talent Factory (West Africa).
Nnenna has over 20 years’ experience in marketing communications. She started her career at McCann Erickson, New York, managing business development activities for the New York office and coordinating offices across the network for global pitches. From there, she moved into Strategic Planning where she rose to the position of Vice President. While at McCann, she helped conceive Tag Ideation, a lifestyle marketing practice group, developing a set of proprietary research tools and co-designing a proprietary branding model. She returned to Nigeria in 2004. Since returning to Nigeria, Nnenna has worked in advertising, experiential marketing and content development. After holding positions at Chris Parkes Marketing Solutions, Small World Media, HiTV and TBWA/Concept, Nnenna joined ZK advertising in 2007. In her second year at ZK, Nnenna also took on the role of Creative Director, developing award-winning advertising for a variety of clients. In 2011, Nnenna and her partners took over the agency, rebranding it as Yellow Brick Road and growing it into one of Nigeria’s most respected agencies. Over the course of her career, Nnenna has worked on a multitude of brands across numerous categories including, Coca Cola, Absolut, Kohl’s Department Stores, Sharpie, Microsoft, Xbox, British American Tobacco, Dangote, Paga, BlackBerry, Jumia, Oando, Access Bank, FCMB, FirstBank, Canon, MTV Base, Celtel, Zain, Glo, MTN, Girl Effect and UNICEF. Nnenna sits on several boards and is Chairperson of the Board of West African Vocational Education, a non-profit committed to ending youth unemployment in the West African sub-region.
Steve is the founder and CEO of X3M Ideas Group, made up X3M Ideas, one of the continent’s biggest creative agencies with presence in Nigeria, Zambia, Ghana and South Africa; X3M Music, music production company; Zero Degrees Production and Media 100, an independent media company. Steve’s advertising agency continues to work for some of the biggest brands on the continent including British American Tobacco, telecoms giant, Globacom, Diamond Bank, Dangote, Multichoice, etc. He has represented the continent on the global stage having been a jury at the New York Advertising Festival, the world’s oldest advertising festival, the Loeries and Cristal Awards. He has also been a jury at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Steve is the current President of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN). He is a former chairman of the Board of Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival and member of the Board of International Advertising Association (I.A.A)
Yinka Aderoju is the Founder and CEO of Market, Knowledge and Insight. She is a graduate of Communication Studies from CBN University, Virginia Beach and she holds a certificate of Proficiency in Qualitative Research from AC Nielsen Burke Institute, Cincinnati. She is a well-recognised Market Research expert in the Marketing Communications Industry, having led various major research projects at the National and International Level. Alongside her duties at MK&I, she also lectures the MBA Class at the Lagos Business School.
Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo born in Lagos and he attended Birch Freeman High School, Surulere, Lagos for his O’Levels. He proceeded to Ogun State University for his first degree in Economics. Dr. Fadolapo holds three (3) Master degrees, MSc in Marketing, Master in Business Administration (MBA), and Master in Legal Studies (MILS) from Babcock University, Ilisan, Ogun State, the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State and Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos State respectively. He also holds a PhD Degree in Marketing with specialization in Marketing Communications from the Babcock University, Illisan Remo, Ogun State. Dr. Fadolapo is a Registered Advertising Practitioner, a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of ICAN. He was a member of the immediate past Governing Council of APCON and also served in several capacities within the Council and other Advertising Industry Fora. He was recently appointed as the Registrar/CEO of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
Udeme Ufot was born on 27th March, 1958. He studied Industrial Design at Ahmadu Bello University where he graduated top of his class with a Second Class Upper honours degree in 1981. He won the Joe Adeka prize for best graduating student in Design. Upon completing his National Youth Service (NYSC) programme at the Governor’s office, Ilorin, Kwara State, he returned to Calabar where he joined Desmark Advertising as Assistant Manager, Creative. In 1984, Udeme realized he needed bigger waters to swim if he was to optimize his potential as a creative person in advertising. He therefore left Desmark Advertising to join Insight Communications Limited in Lagos as a Senior Visualiser. He spent five years at Insight, rising rapidly to the position of Deputy Creative Director (Art) in 1988. In 1989, Udeme decided to explore his talents at entrepreneurship. He left Insight and teamed up with a former Insight colleague as Creative Director at Complete Advertising Services (CASERS). Unfortunately this partnership was short lived, as Udeme left six months later to co-found SO&U Limited with two other former colleagues from Insight. SO&U commenced business officially in March 1990 and within two years, had established a very strong reputation for outstanding creativity in the Nigerian Advertising Industry. Industry observers agree that the launch campaign for Guaranty Trust Bank, produced by SO&U did not only contribute significantly to the strong positioning and subsequent success of the bank, the campaign set new standards for financial services communication in Nigeria. In its twenty eight years of operation, the firm has been associated with some of the most successful and famous advertising campaigns in Nigeria. The Agency’s client list parades some of the best names in corporate Nigeria. Today, Udeme is Group CEO of the SO&U Group which comprises an advertising Agency, a Public Relations / Events company, an Audio Visual Production company, a Media Independent and a Digital Agency. Udeme has served the Advertising industry in Nigeria at several levels. He is a past President of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) having also served in the capacity of Council Member, Honourary Secretary, and Vice President. He has served as Council Member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) where he has also led many committees. He has facilitated several AAAN, APCON and NIMN training programmes where he is a highly sought after speaker. He is the immediate past Chairman of the Advertising Practitioners’ Council of Nigeria (APCON). Beyond the Advertising Industry, Udeme has served corporate Nigeria and the nation in various capacities. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group and was Co-chair of the Organising Committee of Nigeria Economic Summit 12. He is a Director of Special Olympics Nigeria, part of a global NGO dedicated to organizing and supporting sporting activities of the intellectually challenged. He is a facilitator at FATE Foundation training programmes where he shares his marketing and entrepreneurial skills and experience with aspiring entrepreneurs. He was honoured as Outstanding FATE Volunteer 2009 and was awarded Fate Model Entrepreneur in 2012 for “epitomizing a true Nigerian Entrepreneur”. Udeme is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School (LBS) and is a Past President of the Lagos Business School Alumni Association (LBSAA). In December 2017, Udeme was appointed Chairman of the Board of LEAP Africa, Nigeria’s Leading non-profit committed to developing dynamic, innovative and principled African leaders. He was a member of the Media & Publicity sub Committee of the 40th Independence Anniversary Planning Committee of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is mentor and career adviser to students of the Department of Communication Arts, University of Uyo. He is a member of the Institute of Directors (IOD), a member of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), a fellow of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), and a member of the Nigeria-South African Chamber of Commerce as well as the Nigerian – British Chamber of Commerce. Udeme is a member of the Akwa Ibom State Government Foreign Direct Investment Technical Committee. In recognition of his services to corporate Nigeria, and the advertising industry in particular, the Federal Government of Nigeria conferred on him the National Honour, Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) in 2014. He is married to Dorothy, a Lawyer, Arbitrator and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, and they are parents to Aniekan and Dorothy Jnr. Udeme is a strong believer in hard work, staying focused, and the Grace of God.
